ClariPage is made by The Wildbrook Company. This policy explains what the app collects, what it doesn't, and what happens to your family's information.
We've tried to write this in plain language rather than legal boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, email us at privacy@wildbrooktech.com and we'll answer.
Who holds the account
ClariPage accounts are held by parents and guardians, not by children. You must be 18 or older to create one. Children use the app through a parent's account and under that parent's supervision.
We do not offer accounts to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
What we collect
Your email address and password. Used to create your account, sign you in, and send account emails like confirmations and password resets. Passwords are stored in hashed form. We never see or store the password itself.
The study notes ClariPage generates. When you photograph a page of notes or add a PDF from your device, ClariPage produces organized notes, diagrams, flashcards, practice tests and explanations from it. That generated material is stored in your account so it syncs across your devices.
Your study progress. Flashcard review history and practice test results, so the app can schedule what to review next.
Basic usage information. How many captures you've used in the current month, so we can apply the plan limit, plus standard technical information like app version and error logs.
What we do not collect
We do not keep your photos or files. When you capture a page or add a PDF, it is sent for processing and then discarded. It is not saved to our servers, our database, or any storage bucket. There is no archive of photographs of your child's notebook or of the files you add, because we never create one.
Read aloud stays on the device. When ClariPage reads notes, flashcards or explanations aloud, it uses the voices built into your iPhone or iPad. The text being read is not sent anywhere to be spoken.
If a page suggests a child may be struggling. ClariPage checks every capture to make sure it is schoolwork. If a page suggests that the child who wrote it may be thinking about harming themselves, ClariPage shows a caring message with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline instead of making notes. Nothing from that page is saved, its contents are not logged, and no one is notified automatically.
We do not collect information about your child. No name, no age, no grade level, no school, no classroom. ClariPage does not ask for these and has no field to store them.
We do not collect payment information. ClariPage is free during this testing period. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any payment details are ever requested.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. There is no advertising in ClariPage and no advertising or analytics trackers built into it.
One thing worth knowing about handwritten pages
We discard the photograph or file, but we do keep the study notes generated from it. If your child writes their name, their teacher's name, or anything else personal on the page, that text may appear in the generated notes stored in your account.
We don't look for this information or do anything with it. But it's stored, so it's worth being aware of, and it's a reason to delete notes you don't need. You can delete any set of notes from within the app at any time.
Who processes data on our behalf
ClariPage relies on a small number of service providers. They process data only to make the app work, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
| Provider | What it does | Their terms |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Processes the captured page and generates the study notes | anthropic.com/legal |
| Supabase | Stores your account and your generated notes | supabase.com/privacy |
| Railway | Hosts the ClariPage backend | railway.com/legal/privacy |
| Resend | Delivers account emails | resend.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Apple | Distributes the app and, during testing, TestFlight | apple.com/legal/privacy |
Anthropic processes ClariPage's requests under its commercial terms, which provide that inputs and outputs from commercial API use are not used to train its models. Anthropic deletes this data from its systems after a limited retention period.
How long we keep things
Your notes and flashcards stay in your account until you delete them or close your account.
When you delete a set of notes, it is marked deleted immediately and removed from your devices. It is purged from our database shortly afterward.
When you close your account, we delete your account record and the notes attached to it. Backup copies may persist for a short period before being overwritten.
Your choices
See your data. Everything ClariPage holds about your family is visible in the app.
Delete individual notes. Any time, from within the app.
Delete your whole account. In the app, tap Delete account on your study desk, under Sign out. This deletes your account, the study sets saved to it, and the study sets on that device. If you'd rather, email privacy@wildbrooktech.com from the address on the account and we'll delete it for you.
Correct your email. Change it in the app, or email us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. Email us and we'll honor these requests regardless of where you live.
Security
Data moves between your device and our servers over encrypted connections, and is encrypted at rest by our database provider. Access to production systems is limited to the people who maintain ClariPage.
No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you.
Children's privacy
ClariPage is designed to be used by children with a parent's account and supervision. Because we collect no personal information from or about children, and discard the photographs and files children add, there is very little about a child held in ClariPage at all.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how ClariPage handles data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. For changes that meaningfully affect your family, such as collecting something new or adding a provider that handles your data, we'll email account holders before the change takes effect.
